The Annual Science Meeting (ASM) 2019, for RoSES and ORCHESTRA, will take place on Tuesday 2 and Wednesday 3 July, at the Plymouth Marine Laboratory, with additional project meetings also taking place that week.
This is the proposed format for the week:
Monday 1st July – travel
Tuesday 2nd July – project/work package/team meetings
Wednesday 3rd July – ASM
Thursday 4th July – ASM
Friday 5th July – project/work package meetings and return travel.
The aim is to structure the ASM around three focus groups:
Multi-year variability in carbon & heat air/sea exchange + inventory (model outputs, special interest group, co-chairs, google group or similar, open workshop) – RoSES, ORCHESTRA + stakeholders.
Adjoint/perturbation experiment design.
Floats (UK & international, esp BGC, and incl gliders & seals) – meeting convened by RoSES/ORCHESTRA. How to use data & session on how to calibrate.
Further information will be published as planning of the event progresses. If you have any queries about the ASM or ideas for things to include at the event, please contact us here.
